Hello Everyone it’s Soheil here with your Nerd News for this week! We won’t be eating any Tide Pods because that stupid. However, we were will be sharing 5 news topics that are interesting to us! Stick around and make sure to comment on this video!

  1. YouTube suspends Logan Paul’s ad revenue, blames ‘recent pattern of behavior.

We have seen an apology video from Logan Paul but it seems like YouTube isn’t buying it. According to the Verge interview with a YouTube spokesperson said: “After careful consideration, we have decided to temporarily suspend ads on Logan Paul’s YouTube channels.”

Well remember that word temporarily.

“This is not a decision we made lightly, however, we believe he has exhibited a pattern of behavior in his videos that makes his channel not only unsuitable for advertisers but also potentially damaging to the broader creator community.”

The things he has done which other than the suicide forest in japan include such infractions as encouraging his followers to do the Tide Pod challenge, and, in one recent video, taking a fish out of his pond to jokingly give it CPR and then tasering a dead rat.

As seen in this picture form a Reddit Post by . It looks like Youtube has already reinstated his ads so the Temoparary was truely just a week or two. What kind of punishment is this, more like go sit in the corner than a full on grounding. We know that he actually gained some subscribers after the Japan incident. Personally I had no idea who this guy was, and even tho I didn’t become a subscriber or viewer, I now (unfortunately) know who he is. And YT is aware of that. So he’ll never be banned, no matter how much he deserves it. That is my personal opinion. What do you all think?

  1. Rachel Weisz doesn’t think female James Bond is a good idea: ‘Women should get their own stories’

The article says: “Following the release of latest Bond film Spectre, a question mark surrounded whether Daniel Craig – Weisz’s husband – would return to the role of the spy in a future outing as many deemed it time for the reins to be handed to a female actor”. Like Weisz I believe that James Bond is a character which was written by fleming (The creator of James Bond) to be a male. She said in an interview:  “[Fleming] devoted an awful lot of time to writing this particular character, who is particularly male and relates in a particular way to women,“ she said. “Why not create your own story rather than jumping on to the shoulders and being compared to all those other male predecessors? Women are really fascinating and interesting and should get their own stories.” I believe Women can have amazingly strong characters in stories. New and creative stories can be made to help with a woman lead. What do you all think?

  1. We have a company out there that continues the fight for net neutrality! Mozilla Will Re-File Suit Against FCC to Protect Net Neutrality.

Source:  https://blog.mozilla.org/blog/2018/02/12/update-mozilla-will-re-file-suit-fcc-protect-net-neutrality/

The article above says the following “We will always fight to protect the open internet and will continue to challenge the FCC’s decision to destroy net neutrality in the courts, in Congress, and with our allies and internet users.

The FCC’s decision to destroy net neutrality rules is the result of broken processes, broken politics, and broken policies. It will end the internet as we know it, harm internet users and small businesses, erode free speech, competition, innovation and user choice in the process. In fact, it really only benefits large Internet Service Providers.

We will re-file our suit against the FCC at the appropriate time (10 days after the order is published in the Federal Register).”

What can you do to help?

You can call your congressman and say you want them to support net neutrality.

  1. Sea of Thieves – No loot boxes. Premium shop coming post-launch which will include pets. Won’t be able to buy items that impact power or progression.

Some quotes from the development team are:

The only conversation I really want people having about Sea of Thieves is what adventures they had, what stories they went on, and why that’s cool.”

“For launch, it’s about delivering the best gameplay experience possible, being there, reacting, listening, taking feedback and everything else,” executive producer Joe Neate stressed.

“But as we move into our service and we start growing and updating the game, at that point we’ll turn on the option for players to optionally spend in there.”

Rare insisted the premium shop will sell nothing that affects player power or progression. Also, you’ll always know what you’re buying, hence no loot boxes.

“No loot boxes. No loot crates,” Neate confirmed.

“It’s things that add to the fun, social nature of Sea of thieves.”

  1. ‘The Punisher’ Season 2 To Begin Filming on February 26th

I am sure that Tommy is really excited about this news. The first season of the punisher received some great reviews here at Nerd Confessions. You can check out the video on the card that pops up now! This show really was great and needed a second season. From what we understand we do not know if characters will be coming back or if they will still be in New York but we are more than excited.

It is interesting that The Punisher is already heading into production so soon after its first season, and if it’s true it must be a testament to how confident Netflix and Marvel Television is in the series (or it might have something to do with that impending Disney streaming service, who knows).

At this point, Jessica Jones and Luke Cage have wrapped filming on their second seasons, while Daredevil and Iron Fist should be finished shooting within the next few months. Jessica Jonespremieres in March, and the other Defenders are all rumored to hit the streaming service in 2018.

With work on The Punisher starting already, could fans expect to see five new seasons of Marvel series on Netflix this year? Or are they just getting a head start on their 2019 releases? Either way, it sounds like Netflix is ramping up the frequency of their Marvel series after releasing three in 2017.
